Tullamore Beer Club met for the first time last night in Hugh Lynch’s. We started off with the new wheat beer from Trouble Brewing Fuzzy Logic.
It’s not a bad session starter.
But it didn’t have the huge head you’d expect from a wheat beer, maybe if it was poured into a traditional wheat beer glass?
Keeping it relatively light we went for Hersbrucker Pilsner from The Porterhouse. Very refreshing on a warm evening.
Down to Carlow for an O’Hara’s Irish Pale Ale after that. You can’t go too far wrong with O’Hara’s beers.
Back to The Porterhouse and we turned up the IBUs ( bitterness measurement units) with a Hop Head.
…with Dave Guilfoyle from Bo Bristle present it would have been rude of us not to have one of their famous IPAs.
…and we finished up with a Celebration Stout from The Porterhouse. While our group was at our tables a couple were trying out the Craft Beer at the bar. I got chatting with them about the club and they asked if they could sign up? YES! The more the merrier. If you’re interested in attending the next meet up give me a shout. Thanks to Hugh Lynch’s for hosting the night in their fantastic bar. Hopefully this will be the first of many happy meet ups!
Wow a marathon!
We would’ve been better off sharing those bottles to be honest! 🙂
