Last night we officially launched the Midlands Craft Beer Festival in Don’s Bar Moate. Liam Hanlon from St Mel’s and Marcus Robinson from Reel Deel were on hand to get proceedings rolling.
They brought some samples of their beer and Say Nowt Stout from Reel Deel and St Mel’s Helles both went down very well. Marcus had also brought along some of that naughty Gneas!
Sean Kelly and Rob O’Rourke won the draw for the festival tickets so they were glad they made the trip to Moate!
We also took a walk around the festival site at the back of Don’s Bar and debated important things, like how near the bar would be to the stage. The event will take place rain or shine, there will be marquees and plenty of shelter if necessary. I have put a call in Gerald Fleming to order sunshine anyway…Tickets are available now from Don’s Bar and myself at the very reasonable price of ten euro which includes two beer tokens and of course it’s in support of Moate GAA. Sunday August 16th is the day in question, and it all kicks off at 3pm. Sláinte!
