I was in P Egan’s, Moate last night and they had Brú’s latest brew, Darkside IPA . I had it a while back but didn’t write about it, now seems like the perfect time though. The label is decorated with timely skulls and a headless horseman.
Scary stuff. The beer has a lovely fruity hoppy aroma which carries through to the taste, a little like that bitter marmalade that has chunks of peel. One bottle led to another and that went down nicely as well. My friend gave it some high praise: ‘that’s up there with Bo Bristle’s IPA! ‘ Pick up a few to complete your Halloween costume. Sláinte!
