Brooklyn’s Sorachi Ace is a farmhouse ale or saison. Saison is a Belgian beer style made for Spring drinking. The bottle itself suggests opulence. I generally like Brooklyn Brewery’s beers but this one is the best one I’ve had yet. It’s soft and easy to drink, deceptively hiding it’s 7% abv. The Sorachi hop was invented in Japan and is now just grown on one American farm. It’s lemony flavours are well balanced by the malt. Damn fine beer, you can bet your house on it!
