On our way home from Dublin last Saturday we stopped in at Liffey Valley hoping to get fish and chips from Harry Ramsden but Harry had shut up shop for the day so we went down to try Spur Steakhouse instead. I had the burger which was grand but the smoky beans were really good. There was a beer called Windhoek from Namibia on the menu so I said I’d try one of those. It’s a lager that’s apparently made in accordance to the German purity law. I can imagine it being quite refreshing under the African sun. It wasn’t too bad so I had another. I have to say the service was really good and they are very child friendly. Worth a visit.
