Body and Soul was on over the weekend, it was a wonderful festival full of delightful nooks and crannies. There was a friendly family atmosphere and lots for the kids to do and see.
The bar choices were somewhat limited though but I went for a Havana rum with ginger beer and lime.
Not bad on a sunny evening after a taxing afternoon of exploration.
Then it was time for some music!
Max Romeo drew a big crowd and was entertaining and gracious.
Given the choice of Bulmers and Becks, I chanced the latter. Watery enough! Then it was time for the more cerebral stylings I mean psych indie off the wall weird shit from Of Montreal. I enjoyed him, or as much of his set as I could before the small people decided they’d had enough and wanted to go home.
I’d recommend Body and Soul to anyone, apparently if you camp you can bring your own beer. This coming weekend sees Sea Sessions taking place in Donegal. It’s sponsored by O’Hara’s so you could have a few Amber Adventures or the special Sea Sessions Pale Ale made for the occasion by Donegal Brewing Company. My buddy Keith Marshall will be djing at it as well! I’ll be at the European Beer Bloggers Conference (have I mentioned that already?) and Arcade Fire/Pixies and haven’t quite mastered the old bilocation trick yet!
