Yesterday morning looked promising as we finished setting the stage for the main event.
Young Dave Guilfoyle from Bo Bristle was the first brewer to set up, but seeing as he only lives up the road it was a relatively handy one for him.
Next we had Joe Kearns from White Hag who brought bottles of their delicious Black Boar and Fleadh Red IPA.
Marcus Robinson from Reel Deel was next on the scene and he was in great form as always.
We had great craic carrying in O’Cleirigh’s piano bar. It’s a working piano that the lads rigged with taps. Legends.
Peter from Vanguard brought Wild Bat’s Californian Common and Tempted Strawberry Cider. And they both went down very well.
We didn’t make t shirts for the festival but that minor detail didn’t bother Michelle!
Then Dave Guilfoyle had the fantastic idea of making an icecream float with the Bo Bristle Stout.
…and everyone, including Richard Black Donkey Siberry had a taste!
I somehow neglected to take pictures of the lads from St Mel’s, the ladies from the Snacktastic Food Company and the main stage bands, The Toxic Twins and The Crooked Jacks. But I did capture the acoustic guitar geniuses.
The pig on a spit was devoured!
There were a few hiccups and a few things we’d change but I think everyone enjoyed themselves. So thank you to Don and Lisa for their hard work, thank you to everyone who helped set up and run the show. Thanks to the brewers for their efforts and all of the tasty beers! And thanks to everyone who came out and supported the event. We might see you in 2016. Sláinte!
Well done!
Excellent event. Very enjoyable!
Those handsome guitar players really made the day…
