Apparently today is International Stout Day. Ireland’s most well known pint of the black stuff already has it’s own day so I said I’d go with something a little different. McGrath’s Irish Black Stout is brought to us by Clanconnel Brewing Company in N’orn Ireland. The first thing that smacks you right in the nose is the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. As coffee is my other beverage of choice this won me over straight away. The roasted malt flavour is very moreish and it has a great dry aftertaste. Happy International Stout Day everyone!
