Weisse is nice with spice and rice (sorry about that)

Just a quick post today! Even I can’t be drinking fancy, rare and pricey beers every evening, so when I’m keeping it simple I often go for a weisse beer. These are readily available and very reasonably priced in our local German supermarkets. The first one pictured above is a Franziskaner and it’s bananish sweetness helped mellow the spicy Thai chicken curry.

The next one I am a bit partial to is Schofferhofer which I used to tame a fiery chilli con carne. These aren’t the best, most groundbreaking beers in the world but you could drink an awful lot worse!
