Dungarvan’s Mahon Falls Rye Pale Ale

image

Spring is here, let’s drink some beer! Dungarvan have gone and captured the essence of the season and started bottling it. This beer has evolved from the very popular Rye Pale Ale which went down very well at the Irish Craft Beer festival in the RDS. It’s reddish brown so again there may be some griping that it’s not actually ‘Pale Ale’ at all. I really don’t mind what it’s called, it tastes great. There’s a lot more going on here than there would be with an ordinary pale ale. The rye malt kept my palate interested right down to the last drop. Or it would have if my palate was sentient in it’s own right. I enjoyed Dungarvan’s Winter brew, the Coffee and Oatmeal stout but this is even better. I really want to pick up a few more of these as it’s very moreish.
