One Belgian and one Belgian ‘style’ Beer

It may seem that there has been a lot of Irish beer featured here over the past week. I’m not going to apologise for that but here are a few ‘world’ beers for a slight change and I’ll be back to Irish beer tomorrow! First up is Woody Creek, a Belgian Style White from Flying Dog. It’s brewed with coriander and orange peel which is normal for this style. Would you like a slice of orange in your Blue Moon sir/madam? It’s very easy to drink but it’s not going down in history as my favourite Flying Dog beer.

It’s probably not fair of me to draw a comparison with Urthel’s SaisonniĆ©re. But holy fuck it’s good. Apparently it won a World Beer Award for Best European Seasonal Pale Ale. It’s got a great head and it’s really drinkable. Highly recommended.
