Smuttynose are new to me but it’s been a whirlwind love affair. Their Shoals Pale Ale is the most recent one to sweep me off my feet. An excellent hoppy Pale Ale.
Brooklyn’s Blast Ale tasted good from the first few sips. Unfortunately I didn’t get much further than that as I managed to spill it all over myself. (Note: the IPA glass doesn’t balance well on the arm of the chair!) Luckily the glass remains intact and I will be buying the beer again for more careful appreciation.
To aid in my consolation I had a To Ol Dangerously Close To Stupid. This European DIPA is seriously fragrant and it was a perfect night cap.
I just picked this up today, I’ll give you my opinion on it when I have it read but so far so good and great to see the Irish scene now warrants a guide!
