The seventh pumpkin beer I found in 2014 isn’t even a beer. It’s Ace’s Pumpkin Hard Cider.
With all the pumpkin beer on the shelves right now there’s no need to pad the list with a nonbeer. What happened is a moment of confusion seeing a pumpkin on a label turned
into a moment of weakness as I wondered, “what on earth is a pumpkin cider?”
Now I know. It is fizzy, alcoholic apple juice with mulling spices. If you’re hankering for a 7up with the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte vibe, but you need a little alcohol to get you through it: this is your bottle. Don’t get me wrong, it was enjoyable the way a Bud Light Limearita can be…it’s just next to impossible to do so in ychromosomeenabled company.
This would be a great drink to serve over ice, sipped through a straw (so as not to ruin your lipstick), while discussing with your BFFs how aMAZing the latest pumpkin spice body lotion from Bath & Body Works is. OMG! Does this cider make my glass look big?
