Real Italian Beer and Food: Part 1

Ufuud is a website that sells proper Italian food and, more importantly, artisan beer. I was contacted and asked if I’d like to give their service a try, as I’m not overly familiar with the Italian beer scene I was glad to be given the opportunity to sample some new brews. Their website is very easy to navigate and there are lots of pictures to help you choose your purchases. You may be surprised to learn that I ordered some food along with my beer!

The package arrived well wrapped with a cold pack included to keep everything fresh.

You can’t go wrong with a bit of pasta!

I can’t see these biscuits lasting very long.

The bottles were all individually bubble wrapped.

So far I’ve only had one of the beers but I’ll be working my way through the others and the food this week. The first one I tried was the Midona Doppio Malto from Amarcord. It’s a full-bodied golden ale with more malt flavour than a large tub of Ovaltine! I am looking forward to trying the rest of my beers and I have found a rather tasty looking recipe for the pasta and salami. If you’d like to order some of the unique beer or food Ufuud offer here’s a link to their site. Sláinte!

Full disclosure: I was given a voucher to spend on the site but my opinions were not influenced overly by this.
