Dinner in Thyme

image

I have already shared an experience at Thyme here, but last night’s dinner was too good not to show you! I started with the ham hock and hens egg which was only gorgeous and I had St Mel’s Helles Lager with that, they worked well together. Unfortunately I didn’t capture it in a photograph. For my main I had pork belly with crackling and pak choi and a St Mel’s Pale Ale.

The dessert was bannofi and peanut butter which went exceptionally well with St Mel’s Brown Ale. Put that on your menu as a pairing suggestion Thyme!

For nostalgic reasons we went to Sean’s Bar after our dinner. I had heard that they had gotten in ‘some weird American beer’, it turned out to be Kentucky Ale but alas there was none, a Galway Hooker then? No! Peroni it is then.

We finished up the night in Murphy’s Law with a bottle or two of Kinnegar’s Rustbucket and passed on the disco dancing. Sláinte!
