I picked up a pair of Jack Cody’s beers at the festival in Navan on Saturday for home consumption. The Smiggy Amber label recommend drinking it with fish or barbecue but I have to be awkward and had the Puck Pilsner with fish cakes. It’s a decent Pilsner and I think it works well with lighter food.
I had the Smiggy Amber on it’s own later in the evening and I liked it a lot. And in fairness it would be good company for a burger. Well worth a try. Sláinte!
