Yes, you read that correctly! There’s something a little different in store for the first Athlone Beer Club meet up of 2015. Join us in The Malt House on Friday January 30th where Deirdre Keon, the Kilbeggan Visitor Centre Manager, will be taking us through a master class in tasting of four unique Irish whiskeys from the Kilbeggan Distilling Company range to include Greenore 8 year old Single Grain, Kilbeggan Irish whiskey, Tyrconnell Single Malt and Connemara Peated Single Malt. The thoughts of it has my mouth watering. We are going to kick things off a little earlier than usual and start at 8:30pm. After the whiskey tasting everyone is free to enjoy beer, cider or indeed more whiskey! I’ll be creating an event on Facebook so you can let me know if you’re planning on joining us. Sláinte!
