The Independent Brewing of Ireland which is based in the far flung reaches of Connemara released Whiskey Stout to celebrate their first birthday last Autumn. The beer was aged for nine months in Bushmills barrels. The result is a warm mellow beer which has a lot of chocolate which compliments the whiskey flavours. This is very easy to drink considering it’s 7%, so exercise caution. Sláinte!
